Parliamentary Secretary for Road Infrastructure to deliver key presentation at advocate training workshop
Vic Parliamentary Secretary for Road Infrastructure, Ros Spence MP, will provide the key presentation of what it takes to lobby government at the We Ride Australia advocate training workshop.
The Parliamentary Secretary joins experts from local and state government to provide you with the key tools to be successful in bicycle advocacy.
This is a key opportunity to learn from a Member of Parliament who will be directly influencing and making decisions on active transport investment across Victoria.
The workshop has been developed for all bicycle advocates to help you maximise the impact of your advocacy efforts. It weaves together theory and practice and offers plenty of opportunity for discussion and Q&A with leading industry experts
- The theory: lobbying 101 – lobbying do’s and don’ts
- View from the other side: presentations from state/local government representatives
- The practice: real life case study – putting the theory into practice
- Expert panel: Q&A with industry experts
- Participant handout: tips to maximise lobbying success
