The 2023 Australian Cycling Luminaries Awards Dinner has been officially launched today in Parliament by the Member for Swan and Chair of the Friends of Cycling, Zaneta Mascarenhas MP.

“This is an exciting opportunity to promote the amazing people, places, and programs from across the country that make Australia a better place to ride a bike,” said Ms Mascarenhas.

“There are many people who play a significant role in making cycling a big part of the Australian way of life.

“I can’t wait to recognise them at the dinner at Parliament House in November” Zaneta Mascarenhas said.

The Member for Swan and her Co-Chairs will be joined by TV host and media personality, Osher G­ünsberg, who will MC the event.

The second Australian Cycling and eScooter Economy Report will also be launched, providing critical data to all governments on the size and importance of the bicycles and scooter sector to Australia’s economy which in 2021 was $6.3bn.

The Gala Awards Dinner and launch of the 2023 Australian Cycling and e-Scooter Economy Report will be hosted by the Friends of Cycling in the Mural Hall of Parliament House on Wednesday, November 15th and tickets are now available online.

The Parliamentary Friends of Cycling are Chaired by Zaneta Mascarenhas – the Member for Swan, the Hon. Andrew Wallace – the Member for Fisher and Dr Helen Haines – the Member for Indi.

In 2021, the Australian Cycling Economy Report was launched by Treasurer, Hon. Josh Frydenberg, in 2023 the Minister launching the report on the night is still to be confirmed.
