Marcia Ella Duncan to open the 2018 Australian Bicycle Summit

We are really pleased to announce that the inspirational Marcia Ella Duncan will be providing the main Dinner Speech at the 14th annual Cycling Luminaries Awards in Sydney on 20th June and then exploring the themes of People and Place further in a Key Note Speech at the Australian Bicycle Summit the next day on Thursday, 21 June 2018.

Marcia has over 35 years experience in senior positions in State Government and ATSIC, as well as roles as Chair of the 2006 NSW Child Sexual Assault Taskforce and NT Emergency Review Board in 2008.

She is an Australian Netball Hall of Fame member and was the first Aboriginal woman to represent Australia in the sport.

Her passion is empowering and motivating personal, organisational and community growth through increased understanding and capacity building and we are looking forward to hearing Marcia bring the full weight of this experience to her role in our Summit.

She joins the head of Transportation Planning for the City of Vancouver, Dale Bracewell, our International Key Note speaker at the Summit and many other speakers looking at the issues facing growing cities, transport congestion and safety and building better communities.

We have national and state experts presenting at this unique Summit and we urge you to consider attending for the day.
