This year’s theme ‘smart tech and active transport, towards zero’ explored the changing face of transport and impact on active travel, and the role technology will play in how we move in the future. This year’s event was held at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, the world class sporting and corporate venue in Docklands.

The program for 2019, included for the first time the Developing the Advocate Workshop which provided targeted training by experts in advocacy and government, to over 30 participants across advocacy organisations, bicycle user groups and corporations. The Workshop was designed to further develop their advocacy skills and to maximise their potential when dealing with local, state and government contacts.

Other elements of the 2019 Summit included our National Bicycle Organisations round table meeting, the Legends Night social and industry networking evening, the Bicycle Summit conference sessions and was wrapped up by the annual Cycling Luminaries Awards Gala Dinner. 2019 was the biggest and best event ever, with nearly 400 attendees across all functions held over the two days.
